FMHA launches campaign to educate consumers
[Tallahassee, Fla.] – Florida Manufactured Housing Association (FMHA) today announced the launch of the “Hand-Built Homes” campaign. Designed to educate consumers about the process of constructing manufactured houses, the “Hand-Built” campaign emphasizes the craftsmanship and passion that go into building each FMHA member-affiliated home. The marketing effort includes web pages, brochures, online ads and four videos, all of which feature the men and women who design, build and sell manufactured houses in Florida.
“Manufactured homes in Florida are hand-built by hard-working, skilled craftsmen who genuinely love what they do,” said Jim Ayotte, Executive Director of FMHA. “From floor to ceiling, these professionals build with a passion for quality and with meticulous detail. They are the backbone of our industry, so it was only natural for us to showcase them as we talk about our incredible homes.”
“Hand-Built Homes” will illustrate the process by which manufactured homes are made, concentrating on the thoughtful design and exceptional construction. This intentional focus will help consumers understand that manufactured homes are built by people who are accomplished in their trade, whether they be cabinet makers, electricians or roofers. Further, the campaign will champion the quality of hand-built homes by showcasing the regulated, efficient environment in which the houses are constructed.

About FMHA
The Florida Manufactured Housing Association (FMHA) was founded in 1947 to promote the manufactured housing industry in the Sunshine State. 70 years later, the organization is comprised of more than 700 members including retailers, builders, manufactured home community owners and associated businesses. FMHA works to promote the manufactured housing industry, including prospective homebuyers, through legislative advocacy and by providing reliable information about the benefits of manufactured homes.
The timing of FMHA’s “Hand-Built Homes” campaign is excellent—their effort to inform the public about how manufactured homes are made, who the people who build them are, and how homebuilders and manufactured home retailers work together comes as manufactured homes continue to generate ever-increasing curiosity and popularity among the general public. The industry professionals featured in the campaign, from framers and flooring experts, to engineers and electricians, deliver a clear message to homebuyers in Florida and beyond—manufactured homes are built by hand, passionately and meticulously, by people committed to the consistent quality of their work.
