Honors and Elections: MHI Awards Michigan Members, IMHA Re-Elects Chairman
The Manufactured Housing Institute hands out awards to Michigan members; Illinois Manufactured Housing Association elects their next Chairman.
Awards handed out recently by the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association translates into a noteworthy “win” for residents of the Wolverine State. Also, for the second consecutive year in a row, Kevin Shaughnessy of Four Relief Properties was elected to be the Chairman of the Illinois Manufactured Housing Association (IMHA).
It’s Monday, June 5, 2017 – So it must be time to exercise a little due diligence and examine last week’s prefabricated housing headlines.
Michigan Manufactured Housing Association Winners
The manufactured housing community of Millstone Pond, located on the southeast side of Michigan, in Lenox Township, is owned and operated by Landquest Properties and was awarded the ‘Land-Lease Community of the Year‘ – for the entire Midwest. Representing the second time this particular manufactured home community has taken home top honors, Millstone Pond has won a coveted MHI community of the year award – with the first win occurred back in 2005.
Per the Markets Insider, “Millstone Pond is a great representation of a well-designed and thoughtful manufactured home community and we are happy they were recognized by their peers with such a prestigious award,” said Darren Ing, director of the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association.
Milestone Pond was but one of many Michigan Manufactured Housing Association members who took home awards from the conference. While they were the local heroes, other winners included: Adventure Homes, Champion Home Builders, Clayton Homes, Commodore Homes, Sun Communities and 21st Mortgage.

Chairman Of Illinois Manufactured Housing Association Elected
Kevin Shaughnessy has been re-elected as the chairman of the Illinois manufactured housing Association for the second year in a row. Announced by Four Leaf Properties, the rapidly expanding manufactured home community, located in the Midwest and Texas, publicized the re-election of their Managing Partner, Kevin Shaughnessy as the head of the Illinois Manufactured Housing Association. “Originally joining the board in 2013, Mr. Shaughnessy was named Treasurer and continues to hold that position, as well as the Chairmanship.”
“Given the housing challenges in Illinois and around the country today, the IMHA mission is more critical than ever,” said Shaughnessy. Manufactured housing fills the massive affordable housing gap for families, retirees, and millennials.
