Manufactured homes Industry News: Barry Cole Elected to Hall of Fame
Manufactured Homes industry respected veteran Barry Cole, President of Manufactured Housing Insurance Services in Orange, California, has been elected Chairman of the RV/MH Hall of Fame (Hall) Board of Directors. The RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Elkhart, Indiana.
Barry will replace Bill Garpow, RPTIA, whose term recently expired but who will remain on the Board as Immediate Past Chairman.
Barry Cole is currently serving as California Manufactured Housing Institute’s (CMHI) Immediate Past Chairman. Barry has tirelessly served on CMHI’s Board of Directors since its inception in 1986. He has served as officer in many capacities, including four years (two 2 year terms) as Chairman of the Board. In addition to these roles he also currently serves as a Board member for Affordable Community Living Corporation, as a member of the Board of Governor’s for the Manufactured Housing Institute and as a Director of Public Relations for California Mobile Home Park owner’s Alliance.
His enduring support for CMHI and California’s manufactured homes industry has earned Barry quite a few awards. Highlights include:
- CMHI’s Chairman’ Award in 1997- presented by: Chairman Gary Barr
- Jack E. Wells Memorial Award in 1997
- CMHI’s President’s award in 2009-presented by: President, Jess Maxcy
Cole’s other ownership interests outside of the manufactured housing industry also include QSP Insurance Services with nine offices in Southern California insuring cars, homes and RV’s.
