The following research revisits MHI’s consumer research from 2018 while also expanding on the original study to include those that live in manufactured homes and communities. Key results of survey includes;
- Manufactured home residents have very positive impressions on their experiences. Overall 81% of manufactured homeowners report a “very positive” or “positive” overall feelings about their home.
- 71% of residents report that they are “extremely” or “very” satisfied with their home. For owners who purchased a new home, satisfaction increases to 85%. A strong majority of manufactured homeowners said they are likely to recommend manufactured homes to others.
- For residents of land-lease communities, 72% of those in 55+ communities are extremely satisfied with their community, for all-age communities, satisfaction is 56%.
- 82% of residents in a 55+ community are extremely likely to recommend living in a manufactured home; and 69% of residents in all-age communities are likely to recommend living in manufactured homes.
- For manufactured home considered, the top features that drive purchasing decisions are affordability (70%), energy efficiency (53%), and outdoor space (45%).
