A Great Place to Retire in Beautiful Southern Oregon
Being of the retirement age (plus a few years), I find myself thinking about retirement locations that would appeal to me — if and when I finally decide to leave the hustle and bustle life of the employed. In my travels, I’ve run across many places in this great country that would be ideal. I have already determined that a manufactured home will offer me the affordability and flexibility to live in comfort and style in whatever location I prefer.
Southern Oregon is truly one of the most beautiful, yet unknown areas of the country. One of the great retirement manufactured home communities is Knoll Terrace in southern Oregon.
Only 98 miles north of the California state line and right on Interstate 5 is Canyonville; Population: 1850. Canyonville is home to Seven Feather Hotel and Casino resort and Knoll Terrace — Southern Oregon’s newest and finest 55+ manufactured home community. According to the Community Manager-Brian Place, “of the 122 manufactured homes we’ve sold in Knoll Terrace, at least 100 have been to California retirees.”
“We enjoy mild climate, much open space and abundant natural beauty,” said Brian. “We have no traffic problems, no smog, and very little crime.” “There is no sales tax in Oregon. Vehicle license fees and auto insurance and utility bills are much lower. Combine those cost savings, along with the energy efficiencies already inherent with a manufactured home, and it’s easy to see why retirees can stretch their retirement dollars here.”
There are 12 home sites left in Phase 5. Once they are built-out, Knoll Terrace will be filled with 134 homes.
In addition to selling Golden West Homes, Knoll Terrace also handles the resale of pre-owned manufactured homes.
Monthly space lease and utilities start at $460.00 per month. If you plan to visit Southern Oregon and would like more information about Knoll Terrace, call 1-866-766-4366 or visit the web site at www.knollterrace.com.
